Meet Cortez, a young lion cub who is jealous of his brother and lives in a story created with youth from Beech Acres.  In the tale, Cortez learns the life lessons of jealousy, anger, fear, the willingness to change and the rewards of growth from a mosquito, busy bee, caterpillar and beautiful butterfly and four teaching trees.  This animated and live action video was produced during one school year in 2 3 hour after school session each week.  The children made all of the costumes and props and later transformed these into artwork which was sold at silent auction during the premier and sale of their movie.  Just like "real" artists, the young artists received a percentage of their sales.
