Labyrinths  There are countless ways to enjoy labyrinths.  This 40'x40' backyard labyrinth (see video) offers more than 1250 linear feet of path through the nature sounds of a quiet space.  One may also sit on the porch and trace the path with their eyes creating an opportunity to quietly center. It's also a great, low maintenance landscape that is a real conversation piece.

More About Labyrinths

Labyrinths represent
journeys...journeys within,
with others, special journeys,
journey into the silence,
with nature.

There are no dead-ends in
labyrinths.  They are not
intended to trick the mind
but to center it.

As one creates a labyrinth there is plenty if opportunity for reflection as the pieces come together and the path is formed.  When people come together for the purpose of construction and walking lanyrinths, they not only experience peace as they collaborate but share in one another's creative energy.

Labyrinths date back thousands of years in myriad cultures and belief systems.  They were used as symbolic travel when physical travel was impractical.  When one makes a turn on the path of a labyrinth the dominant processing of energy moved from one side of the brain to the other.  This bi-lateral stimulation brings peace, balance and harmony to the user.
